My boyfriend and I traveled just the short two and a half hours to Music City this past weekend for an early birthday celebration for the both of us. My birthday was on the 5th of October and his was just yesterday on the 9th. It was our first time staying in an AirBnb and our experience was amazing! We stayed in a vintage 1960's camper that has been refurbished and also includes a separate bathroom. It was so stinkin cute, we loved every minute of staying here! Every time I've visited Nashville it has always been for a sporting event so I was definitely looking forward to this trip to explore this cool city and just get away from the every day grind back home.
On Saturday, like typical tourists, we of course went to the Barista Parlor to try out this artisan coffee. A very cool spot indeed. From there we headed into town to watch the U of L game at ACME. I fell in love with this venue! Three stories of wood beams painted white, white washed exposed brick and an eclectic mix of furnishings and decor. We had a few beers and watched the Cards take home the W! We originally made plans to have dinner at Pinewood Social but stayed in our cute camper instead playing drinking games and listening to Backstreet Boys.
Sunday we had coffee at Crema, delicious!!! We ended our trip at Pinewood Social eating not the most impressive brunch. I want to be authentic and honest on here so I will say Pinewood Social is one of the coolest venues/spaces I've ever been to however the food was not my favorite. That tends to be the case at these super trendy, hipster joints but I can't help myself I still love surrounding myself with such beautiful aesthetics.
Nashville all in all was such an amazing and much needed trip. Daniel and I seriously had the best time and are looking forward to going back soon to stay at another adorable AirBnb and try out some different spots!
Here is the link for the AirBnb we stayed at as there has been a lot of interest in more info.
