Last week I traveled the very short two and a half hours down to Nashville, Tennessee for a one night stay in another magical Airbnb. I had seen this listing a few months back and knew that I had to experience what the hosts call The Fox House. I decided to make this a solo trip and think of it almost as a retreat. I am a yoga teacher and on a daily basis I give out so much wisdom and insight in my classes for my students to live by but very rarely do I take my own advice. This was an opportunity for me to live what I speak to so much in my classes. Find stillness. Just be. Meditate. Read. Sit. Listen. Slow down. Allow myself to relish in the moment to find my own inner bliss. Maybe even add in a few sun salutations (however the space was quite small). This retreat was exactly what I needed especially at this time of year. I wanted to take this time for myself to recharge in this "busy" season, with everyone claiming they are too busy. Everything we do in life is a choice, so if you are "busy" it is because of the choices you are making. Your outlook on life will be a direct reflection of what you make important and a priority. To give ourselves the luxury of stillness in a world that is always moving is one of the best gifts you can give your mind, body and soul. My stay at The Fox House was so special and I highly recommend staying here for a quaint little getaway. This trip for me was not about experiencing the city of Nashville itself but soaking up every moment of my stay in this treehouse. If you decide to stay here you will probably feel the same way. Hotels are for sleeping but these thoughtfully created Airbnb's are for so much more than that. Experiencing someone else's creativity to inspire your own. The neutral color palette the hosts decided to used for the decor is so calming and pleasing to the eye. Everywhere you turn in this adorable treehouse is a photo waiting to happen.....which is probably why I took so many. Enjoy.
Oh! and the link of course! ;)
